Product information "Flame-Resistant Multi-Norm Work Trousers Bizflame Work Portwest"
The FR448 from the Bizflame™ Work collection is a flame-resistant, multi-norm pair of work trousers built for people who work around heat, sparks or potentially explosive atmospheres. It's designed for welders, electricians and industrial professionals who need dependable, all-round protection without giving up freedom of movement.
The trousers have an ergonomic cut that keeps you comfortable and mobile even when kneeling or bending for extended periods. An elasticated back waistband keeps them securely in place, while the adjustable leg length allows for a proper individual fit. Details such as the concealed fly with a sturdy brass zip and contrast-coloured stitching point to genuine attention to durability and build quality. With eight pockets in total, including two height-adjustable knee pad pockets, a rule pocket and a cargo pocket plus a hammer loop, storage is generous and genuinely practical for daily site work.
Protection is comprehensive. The FR448 guards against radiant and contact heat and meets Class 2 welding protection requirements. It's also certified to protect against molten metal splash and is suitable for wear in ATEX environments, meaning areas where explosive atmospheres may occur. The fabric carries a UPF 40+ rating, blocking 98% of UV rays, a useful bonus for outdoor work. Norm labelling is placed on the outside of the garment so the protection level is instantly recognisable, and the trousers are CE certified.
This makes the FR448 well suited to welding work, maintenance in the oil and gas sector, and any task carried out around heat, sparks or explosive risk environments.
