For anyone working in cold, dirty or oily environments while needing reliable protection against cuts, this glove from Blaklader is a genuine all-rounder. It is lined for extended use in cold conditions without restricting finger movement, and the breathable back of the hand helps keep sweating down compared to fully enclosed gloves.
The palm is coated with sandy-textured nitrile, giving a secure grip on oily or slippery materials. The coating is microporous, allowing air through and improving wearing comfort over a full working day. Inside, a warm lining with terry knit adds extra comfort, while the inner material - a blend of acrylic, HPPE, polyester, glass fibre and elastane - delivers the cut resistance, all without any metal fibres.
The protective performance is thoroughly tested: under EN 388 the glove achieves class 4X42C, meaning high resistance to abrasion, cutting and tearing, while cut protection level C additionally confirms performance under the newer ISO 13997 test method. Under EN 407 it is certified X2XXXX for contact heat level 2, meaning it withstands brief contact with warm surfaces. The EN 511 rating of X2X further confirms its cold protection. As the glove is also certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, it has been tested for harmful substances as well.
This makes the glove particularly suited to tradespeople working in cold halls, outdoors, or in oily and dirty conditions who need consistent cut protection, such as in metalworking, construction or logistics.
