The Blaklader Inherent Steel 1519 jacket is built for tradespeople, electricians and service technicians working in the metal industry or around electrical installations who need dependable protection from heat and sparks. This unlined jacket is inherently flame-resistant, meaning the protection is woven into the fibre itself and does not wash out over time.
The fabric blends modacrylic, cotton, polyamide, aramid and an antistatic fibre in a twill weave, weighing in at 320 g/m². That combination keeps the jacket tough while still comfortable to wear during long shifts, and the surface is oil, dirt and water repellent, so it holds up well in messy working conditions. For workplaces that rely on professional laundering, the jacket has been tested for industrial washing to EN ISO 15797, which matters for regular use in demanding environments.
The certifications tell the real story: EN ISO 11612 confirms protection against heat and flames, EN ISO 11611 covers welding protection, EN 13034 provides limited protection against chemical splashes, and EN 1149-5 confirms the antistatic properties that matter when working near flammable materials.
