These multinorm work trousers from Blaklader are designed for anyone facing real hazards on the job, whether that's flames, arc flash or static discharge on construction sites, in electrical work or road building. Instead of a surface treatment that can wear off, the flame resistance is built into the fibres themselves, so the protection stays intact throughout the garment's working life.
The fabric blends modacrylic, FR viscose, polyester, cotton and aramid in a double-woven ripstop construction, which translates into a tough, tear-resistant feel that holds up to kneeling and crawling on site. Reinforced CORDURA®, Kevlar® and Protal® inserts at the knees add extra durability exactly where it's needed most, while the water- and dirt-repellent surface and double-reinforced pockets keep the trousers working longer under heavy use. They can be washed at up to 60°C, and certification to EN ISO 15797 confirms they hold up to industrial laundering too.
This one pair of trousers brings together several protection standards: EN ISO 11612 covers protection against heat and flame, EN ISO 11611 addresses welding hazards, EN 1149-5 provides antistatic properties, and EN ISO 13034 gives limited protection against chemical splashes. Certification to EN 61482-2 adds protection against the thermal effects of an electric arc. As high-visibility workwear, the trousers meet EN ISO 20471 Class 1, and pairing them with the matching jacket raises that to Class 3.
That combination makes them a strong choice for electricians, road and construction workers, and service technicians who need dependable all-round protection without sacrificing freedom of movement or comfort.
