The Blaklader Multinorm Winter Work Trousers APC 2 are built for anyone who needs to stay protected and warm while working in cold, changeable conditions. They are designed for tradespeople, electricians, and road and construction workers who rely on a combination of high-visibility protection, flame resistance, and thermal insulation in a single garment. Practical pocket solutions, including a bellows leg pocket, phone pocket, pen pocket, and angled front pockets, keep tools and personal items within easy reach throughout the day.
The outer fabric is a cotton and polyester blend with an antistatic component, woven in a twill construction and treated to be flame-retardant, giving the trousers a sturdy, hard-wearing feel at a fabric weight of 350 g/m². The quilted lining keeps the wearer warm even in low temperatures, while the oil-, dirt-, and water-repellent surface stops moisture and grime from soaking into the fabric. The knees are reinforced with Cordura®, Kevlar®, and Protal™, adding real durability at the points that take the most wear. A metal crotch zip and externally placed certification labels round off the considered construction.
These trousers cover several protection categories at once: EN ISO 20471 Class 1 provides visible high-visibility protection, EN ISO 11612 protects against heat and flame, and EN ISO 11611 adds protection for welding work. Antistatic properties to EN 1149-5 prevent the build-up of static electricity, while EN 342 protects against cold environmental conditions. EN 13034 offers limited protection against liquid chemicals, and the IEC 61482-2 APC 2 rating, with an ATPV value of 43.0 cal/cm², certifies protection against the effects of an electric arc flash.
