The Blaklader Multinorm Winter Parka Inherent is designed for anyone working outdoors through winter or in environments with open flame and arc-flash risk. Electricians, road and construction workers, service technicians, and oil and gas workers get a parka that combines high-visibility protection, weather protection and flame resistance without compromising on comfort.
The fabric blend of modacrylic, cotton, polyamide, polyurethane and aramid is inherently flame-resistant, meaning the protection is built into the fibre itself and won't wash or wear out over time. The laminated, windproof and waterproof membrane with breathable performance keeps moisture out while letting sweat escape, and welded seams stop water from getting in through the stitching. The warm quilted lining and insulating construction keep the parka comfortable even in low temperatures, while the adjustable waist and Velcro cuff fastenings let you fine-tune the fit to the weather and whatever you're wearing underneath. Being completely metal-free, it's also suitable for jobs where metal parts on clothing pose a risk.
On the protection side, this parka covers a lot of ground. EN ISO 20471 Class 3 is the highest level of high-visibility protection, relevant for anyone working near traffic or on busy construction sites. EN ISO 11612 confirms protection against heat and flame, EN ISO 11611 covers welding protection, EN 13034 provides limited protection against chemicals, and EN 1149 confirms the antistatic, dissipative properties of the fabric. Certification to IEC 61482-2 means the parka is also built for arc-flash risk, with APC 2, ELIM 33 cal/cm² and ATPV 39 cal/cm² indicating how much energy the material can withstand in an incident. The EN 343 rating with a 12,000 mm water column ensures reliable protection against rain, and combined with model 1817, the parka also meets EN 342 for cold protection.
