The Pontus multinorm work trousers are built for jobs where a single hazard is rarely the whole story: they combine high-visibility protection with resistance to heat, flames, arc flash and chemical splashes in one garment. That makes them a practical choice for professionals in industry, utilities and maintenance who need one pair of trousers to cover several risks at once, rather than switching gear for every task.

The multi-layer outer fabric, made from polyester with a carbon content in the outer layer and a modacrylic-cotton lining, is built to take punishment: it resists abrasion and tearing, and the seams are welded rather than sewn, which reinforces the wind- and waterproofing. With a water column of 10,000 mm and breathability of 5,000 g/m² per 24 hours, the trousers stay comfortable during extended outdoor wear without soaking through or trapping heat. The part-elastic waistband, detachable braces and adjustable leg ends with hook-and-loop tabs allow the fit to adapt to different body shapes and working conditions, while the zip in the outer leg seam makes it easier to get in and out, even over safety boots.

The combination of standards shows exactly what these trousers are designed for: EN ISO 20471 Class 2 covers high-visibility protection for road and construction sites, EN 343 covers protection against wind and rain, EN ISO 11611 and EN ISO 11612 cover flame resistance and welding protection, EN 61482-2 covers protection against the thermal effects of an electric arc, EN 1149-5 covers antistatic properties, and EN 13034 Type 6 provides limited protection against liquid chemical splashes. This combination is clearly marked with the multinorm emblem on the left thigh pocket, so the protective function is visible from the outside.

This makes the Pontus a fitting choice for workplaces with mixed or multiple hazards, such as electrical installation, welding work, plant maintenance or outdoor trades where both weather protection and visibility matter. Two side pockets, a thigh pocket and a back pocket, all with flaps, provide enough storage for tools and personal items throughout the working day.
