The MAPA® Ultranitril 480 is a chemical-resistant glove designed for anyone regularly handling diluted or concentrated pesticides and other aggressive chemical products. At roughly 46 cm long, it extends well beyond the wrist to protect the forearm as well – a feature that sets it apart from short single-use gloves and makes it suited to intensive, extended use.
Made from green, chlorinated nitrile with a material thickness of approximately 0.55 mm, the glove offers strong resistance to abrasion and puncture and is built to last. The textured palm provides a noticeably better grip on wet or oily surfaces. Because the nitrile is chlorinated, the glove is also silicone-free, which matters in practice when no residue can be left on sheet metal or glass ahead of painting.
The glove is certified to EN 388 and EN 374 – Type A, Category 3. EN 388 covers protection against mechanical hazards such as abrasion and puncture, while EN 374 Type A indicates a high breakthrough resistance against a broad range of chemicals. It is additionally rated to ISO 18889 (G2) for pesticide handling, qualifying it specifically for that use case.
This makes the Ultranitril 480 a strong choice for plant protection and agricultural work, as well as for industrial settings where highly hazardous chemical products are handled, such as surface treatment before painting. Available in sizes 7 to 10, supplied in packs of 12 pairs for regular commercial use.
