The MAPA Butoflex 650 is a chemical protection glove for anyone who regularly handles strongly corrosive acids, ketones, esters or amine derivatives and still needs precise finger control. At roughly 35 cm long, it also covers the forearm, making it suitable for tasks where hands and arms are submerged in hazardous media.
The glove is made of black butyl about 1.5 mm thick, with a 100% cotton knit lining. According to the manufacturer, this inner knit makes the Butoflex 650 the first butyl glove of its kind, giving it a level of wearing comfort not usually associated with butyl gloves - hands stay drier and fatigue sets in later, even during extended wear. The textured palm provides secure grip on wet or oily items, while the serrated cuff helps keep splashes off the sleeve.
The glove is certified to EN 388 for basic mechanical protection and to EN ISO 374 Type A, Category 3, the highest category for chemical protection gloves. Type A indicates resistance to a broad range of chemicals and confirms the liquid-tight barrier of the material.
This makes the Butoflex 650 a fitting choice for the chemical industry, laboratories, electroplating and cleaning operations, and any workplace dealing with aggressive process or cleaning chemicals. Sizes 7 to 11 cover typical requirements, supplied as bulk goods with a minimum order of 6 pairs.
