The RT61 hi-vis rain trousers are designed as overtrousers for anyone who has to work outdoors in wet conditions and poor visibility. The side openings and side leg zip let you pull them straight on over your existing workwear and take them off just as quickly, without having to remove boots or safety footwear first.
The fabric is fully waterproof, and the seams are taped so no water can get through at the seams themselves. Texpel Splash Eco finishing adds an extra layer of protection, making water bead off the surface instead of soaking in - and it does this without any PFAS chemicals. At the same time, the material stays breathable and windproof, so it doesn't trap heat even during extended wear. An all-round elasticated waistband and two side pockets round off the comfort for a full day's work.
The trousers are certified to EN ISO ISO 20471, including after 50 washes, so the reflective strips and hi-vis colour keep working reliably throughout the garment's working life. The fabric also carries a UPF 40+ rating, blocking around 98% of UV radiation, which makes a real difference for outdoor work in summer. In orange, the trousers also meet the RIS-3279-TOM standard for the rail industry, making them suitable for trackside work as well.
That combination makes the RT61 a solid choice for road construction, rail maintenance, municipal services and any outdoor role where staying visible in rain and low light is a safety essential.
