The Platane dungarees are built for anyone who needs to stay visible and protected while working with a chainsaw. Combining hi-vis and cut protection in a single garment, they are particularly suited to forestry work and landscaping, where chainsaws are part of the daily toolkit.
The outer fabric, a blend of polyester and cotton, gives a sturdy yet comfortable base fabric to wear, while the polyester lining makes the dungarees easy to put on and move in. The raised waistband adds extra protection for the lower back against cold and draughts, and the elastic, adjustable braces together with the button-adjustable waist and the elastic gusset in the crotch allow plenty of freedom of movement when bending or kneeling. Two patch pockets on the sides, a patch rear pocket with flap, a ruler pocket and a zipped bib pocket on the chest provide enough storage for tools and small items during the working day.
The dungarees meet EN 20471 Class 2 for high-visibility clothing, meaning they provide good visibility in poor light conditions on roads and in the forest. They are also tested to EN ISO 11393 Part 2, Class 1, Protection Area Form A, which means the cut-resistant material made of polyester and polypropylene at the front of the legs is designed to protect against chainsaw injuries. Recognition under the KWF standard confirms suitability for professional forestry use.
