The Fichte chainsaw protective bib trousers are built for anyone working in forestry or with a chainsaw who needs dependable leg protection they can rely on all day. The bib design with its fixed, adjustable waistband distributes the weight of the trousers evenly across the shoulders and hips instead of pulling on the hips alone, which makes a real difference during long shifts. A stretch panel in the crotch adds freedom of movement, useful when climbing over deadwood or working in a crouched position.
The outer material is 100% polyester and is water, oil and dirt repellent, which keeps the trousers practical on wet forest ground and around oily chainsaw chains. The cut-resistant lining is deliberately not fixed to the trouser hem, so if the outer fabric gets damaged it can be repaired instead of having to replace the whole garment. YKK zippers on the pockets reflect construction built for daily heavy use. Four pockets, including a zippered bib pocket, a ruler pocket, side pockets and a back pocket, provide space for tools and personal items.
The trousers are certified to EN ISO 11393 Part 2 Class 1, protection zone Type A, meaning they protect the front and side of the leg at a defined chain speed, as required for chainsaw work. The cut-resistant insert is also DPLF-tested, and the trousers carry KWF standard approval as well as FPA approval, both recognised benchmarks in forestry and agriculture.
This makes the Fichte a strong choice for forestry workers, arborists and anyone regularly working with a chainsaw, professionally or privately, who needs reliable leg protection combined with good mobility. The trousers come in sizes 24–30, 44–64 and 90–110, supplied in a pack of 5.
