The Athens from the Run@Work collection is a modern safety shoe built for anyone who needs reliable protection without sacrificing comfort during a long working day. Instead of a traditional metal toe cap, it features the SlimCap toe cap, just 6.5 mm thick, which feels noticeably lighter and less rigid underfoot while still delivering the required level of protection.
The technical fabric upper keeps the shoe light on the foot, while the SmellStop lining works as an odour-control and antibacterial barrier, limiting the growth of microorganisms responsible for unpleasant smells. The Fresh'n Flex Plus Super Light insole is ultra-light and puncture-resistant, and the AirTech+Tpu-Skin anti-fatigue sole combines a slimmer profile with lasting cushioning and flexibility, which makes a real difference on long shifts or when covering a lot of ground on foot.
Certified to EN ISO 20345:2022 in the S3S specification, the Athens protects against punctures thanks to its 3 mm puncture-resistant sole, includes an impact-resistant toe cap rated to 200 joules, and offers water-repellent protection. The rubber outsole is slip-resistant, fuel- and oil-resistant as well as hydrocarbon-resistant, and the SR rating confirms slip resistance on ceramic tile with glycerine. The shoe is antistatic, protecting electronic equipment from electrostatic discharge, and its outsole is designed to grip securely on ladder rungs.
The Athens is entirely metal-free and vegan, made without any animal-derived materials, making it a fitting choice for anyone who wants safety footwear free of metal toe caps and animal components.
