The Tyvek® 500 TYSC apron is a calf-length disposable apron made from polyethylene spunbond nonwoven, designed for anyone who needs to keep work clothing protected from contamination by liquids or biological substances. Ties at the neck and back allow a secure, adjustable fit that can be put on and removed in seconds.
The Tyvek 500 nonwoven fabric is lightweight and barely noticeable to wear, yet holds up well against puncture and abrasion during everyday tasks. Its antistatic treatment keeps the material from building up static charge, which makes a real difference when moving around or putting the apron on and off frequently. Being single-use, it requires no care or maintenance at all: once the job is done, the apron is simply disposed of and replaced with a fresh one.
Tested to EN 14126, the apron is certified against penetration by infective agents and falls under PPE Category III, Type 6B, which covers protective clothing for limited contact with liquids. This makes it well suited to tasks where contact with potentially contaminated liquids cannot be ruled out, such as cleaning work, medical settings or food processing.
