The Tyvek® 500 LABO is a disposable protective coverall designed for work environments where contact with particles, splashes or biological hazards is possible. Its hood and attached boots with slip-resistant soles turn it into a full-body solution that needs no extra gear and can be put on quickly.
The fabric is a polyethylene spunbond nonwoven, characteristic of the Tyvek 500 range: lightweight yet tear-resistant, and thanks to its antistatic treatment also suitable for environments where static discharge is a concern. Covered elastics at the sleeves, leg openings and hood keep the fit snug without restricting movement, while the covered zipper and internal seams avoid unprotected gaps at these critical points. An elasticated back panel helps the coverall keep its shape during movement.
Certified to EN 14126, the coverall protects against infective agents and falls under PPE Category III, Type 5 and 6. In practice, this means protection against solid particles (Type 5) and against fine spray or light liquid splashes (Type 6) — relevant wherever biologically or particulate-contaminated materials are handled, such as in laboratories, contaminated-area cleaning or medical settings.
