This Blåkläder service maternity trouser is designed for tradeswomen and service staff who don't want to compromise on functional workwear during pregnancy. The high waistband with an elasticated top section adapts to the body without restricting movement, while the ergonomically pre-shaped legs keep the trousers in place even during active work. Concealed magnetic buttons and metal-free fastenings also make them suitable for work on sensitive surfaces, since there's no risk of scratching.
The fabric, a blend of polyester, cotton and Elastofin woven in a twill structure, adds 4-way stretch panels at the back, crotch and knees, while the rest of the trouser relies on 2-way stretch. In practice, this means a trouser that moves with you when bending, kneeling or reaching, rather than pulling tight, while the 245 g/m² fabric weight keeps it sturdy enough for tool use. Concealed knee pad pockets hold pads when needed to ease the strain of kneeling work, and the ruler pocket, phone pocket, and pen and knife pocket keep tools within easy reach.
The knee pad pockets are tested to EN 14404-3 together with Blåkläder's 4037 and 4057 knee pads, meaning the padding provides genuine protection during kneeling work rather than just added comfort. The fabric is also certified to Oeko-Tex Standard 100, so it has been tested for harmful substances and is gentle against the skin.
This makes the trousers a strong fit for tradeswomen, installers, mechanics, and staff in cleaning, warehouse and service roles who need reliable, movement-friendly workwear throughout pregnancy.
