The Univet® 5X7 Smoke safety glasses are designed as overspecs, so they fit comfortably over prescription glasses as well. They are aimed at anyone working outdoors or in bright environments who needs reliable sun protection without compromising on eye safety. The length-adjustable temples allow the glasses to be fitted to different head shapes, while the added side shields block light and particles from the sides too.
The grey lens is made of polycarbonate and carries a scratch-resistant coating, keeping it clear and functional even after regular use on site. The black and green frame weighs only around 37 grams, making it noticeably light for all-day wear. Together, this results in a pair of glasses that stays comfortable over long shifts, without pressure points or slipping.
The glasses meet the EN 166 standard, providing protection against high-speed particles, including under extreme temperatures ranging from -5 to +55 degrees Celsius. They also feature UV 400 protection along with a sun filter suitable for occupational use, reducing eye strain in bright working conditions. In Germany, the purchase is eligible for subsidy through BG Bau, making it an even more attractive option for construction businesses.
This makes the Univet® 5X7 Smoke glasses particularly suitable for outdoor work such as construction sites or road building, where sunlight and airborne particles are a constant concern.
