The Taranto PU boot is a tall safety wellington designed for anyone who needs dependable foot protection in wet, cold or chemically demanding environments. With a shaft height of around 38 cm, it offers secure coverage well above the ankle, making it a strong choice for jobs involving standing water or splashing liquids.
Shaft and sole are made entirely from polyurethane, produced in a double-density construction that provides cold insulation while keeping the boot flexible even at very low temperatures. Compared with standard rubber boots, the material feels noticeably lighter, which makes a real difference over long shifts on your feet. The material is also resistant to animal fats, oils and acids, which extends its use to environments where these substances are part of the daily routine.
The EN ISO 20345 S5 CI SRC standard identifies these as safety boots with a steel toe cap and a corrosion-free steel midsole for puncture resistance. The CI marking indicates cold insulation of the sole, while SRC confirms slip resistance on both ceramic tile with glycerine and steel surfaces with glycerine. The outsole is also antistatic, an important feature for environments sensitive to static electricity.
Thanks to its resistance to oils, fats and acids together with its cold insulation, the Taranto suits work in food processing, agriculture, waste management or outdoor tasks in winter conditions.
