The Feldtmann S5 Orange Waders are a one-piece combination of trousers and boots designed for work in wet or flooded conditions. They are the right choice whenever standard boots and rainwear are not enough because the job takes place directly in water or deep mud, for example in sewer maintenance, water management or disaster relief operations.
The outer material is PVC on a polyester backing fabric weighing 700 g/m², a tough combination built to withstand tension and abrasion. The seams are welded rather than sewn, which keeps the waders fully watertight. Reinforced knees protect the area that takes the most strain when kneeling or crawling, and the shoulder straps can be individually adjusted using plastic buckles to fit different body shapes. A drawstring at chest height helps keep everything in place, while an inner pocket holds small items within easy reach. The boots feature a PVC shaft and a PVC/nitrile sole, fitted with a corrosion-free steel toe cap and a steel midsole.
The boots meet EN ISO 20345 in safety class S5 SRC, meaning toe protection from the steel cap, a penetration-resistant midsole and a sole that resists slipping on both ceramic and steel surfaces. The trousers are tested to EN 343 class 3/1 for resistance to water penetration and water vapour permeability, the highest class for weather protection clothing, and are additionally certified to EN ISO 13688, the general requirement standard for protective clothing. In practice this means reliable protection against water from the outside combined with tested foot safety.
This makes the S5 Orange Waders particularly suited to emergency personnel and workers in sewer maintenance, water management and disaster relief, wherever long periods standing in water demand dependable, all-round protection.
