The Modaflame Hi-Vis Multinorm FR softshell jacket is built for people working in environments where several hazards overlap at once, such as flame, chemical exposure and static electricity risk in the same shift. It suits professionals who need one garment covering multiple protection needs rather than layering separate pieces of kit.
The 3-layer softshell fabric, made with modacrylic and carbon fibre elements, is tough, breathable, windproof and water-repellent all at once. In practice that means a jacket that stays comfortable through changing weather without wearing out quickly under regular use. Its inherent flame resistance is not affected by washing, which matters for workwear that gets cleaned often and still needs to keep performing. The interactive zip also lets you attach an inner layer when extra insulation is needed.
The jacket protects against radiant and convective heat and is antistatic, which is what makes it suitable for ATEX environments where static discharge can pose an ignition risk. A sew-on flame-resistant reflective band adds visibility on top of that. With CE certification to CE-CAT III and UKCA marking, it meets the formal requirements for complex personal protective equipment, and the UPF 40+ rated fabric blocks 98% of UV rays.
Practical touches such as a radio loop, an adjustable hem cord, hook-and-loop cuff fastenings and a chin guard make the jacket genuinely usable outdoors, for example in oil and gas, energy sector work, or any role with a combined flame and chemical risk.
