The Aluflame Work FR jacket is built for workplaces where molten metal is a real hazard, such as aluminium, iron and steel plants. It's designed for workers facing high exposure to metal splash and heat, offering the highest level of protection against molten aluminium within the Aluflame™ range.
The fabric is inherently flame-resistant, meaning the protective property is built into the fibre itself rather than applied as a coating, so it won't wash or wear out over time. That durability carries through to daily use: the jacket is rated for industrial laundering up to 75°C and tunnel drying up to 155°C, so it can handle the demanding cleaning cycles typical of plant environments. Adjustable cuffs keep the fit secure, while radio loops and two generous pockets make it practical for wearing with equipment on site.
Certification-wise, the jacket meets CE-CAT III, the highest category for PPE protecting against irreversible harm. It offers certified protection against molten metal splash and meets welding protection class 2, making it suitable for demanding welding tasks. The fabric is also suitable for use in ATEX environments and rated UPF 40+, blocking 98% of UV rays, a useful bonus for outdoor work or brightly lit halls.
