The 872089 jacket from the EUROTEST collection is built for anyone facing multiple hazards on the job, particularly when working on or near live electrical equipment. With its classic lay-down collar, full button placket and traditional jacket cut, it looks understated on the outside while packing in a range of protective and practical features underneath. Two chest pockets with flaps and buttons, two side pockets and two internal chest pockets provide plenty of storage, while raglan sleeves and back pleats keep movement free and easy on site.
The fabric is a twill weave made from 78% cotton, 20% polyester and 2% other fibres, weighing around 330 g/sqm, finished with FC and FR treatments. That combination gives the material a durable, comfortable handle typical of quality workwear, while standing up to demanding daily use. The front panels and sleeves are double-layered, adding extra strength exactly where wear is highest. Snap-adjustable cuffs and an extended back hem keep the jacket in place through changing postures and movement throughout the working day.
Rated APC 1 to APC 2 at 10 kA under EUROTEST, the jacket offers protection against the thermal effects of an electric arc flash, a hazard associated with work on live electrical installations. The 25 mm reflective stripe on the back and reflective piping on the front and sleeves add visibility in low-light conditions. Combined with the PROBAN® finish, this jacket is clearly designed for environments where thermal and electrical risks overlap, such as power utilities, plant construction and maintenance of electrical systems. Available in cornflower blue-light grey across 19 sizes from 98 to 102.
