The 1552168 jacket from Rofa's EUROTEST 10 kA APC 1 - APC 2 line is built for anyone working on or near electrical installations who needs dependable protection against arc flash incidents. A stand-up collar, full-length zip and an additional hook-and-loop placket at the front keep the jacket securely closed while still allowing quick on and off. With 26 sizes available, it fits both slimmer and larger builds without compromise.
The fabric combines modacrylic and cotton with a contrast panel of cotton and polyester, both woven in a sturdy twill at around 330 g/sqm. The front and sleeves are double-layered, reinforcing the areas most exposed to wear and risk. Raglan sleeves give extra freedom of movement for overhead tasks, the hook-and-loop cuff adjusters let you fit the sleeves over gloves or seal out the cold, and pleats in the back panel stop the fabric from pulling tight when bending or reaching. Two chest pockets and two side pockets, each closed with a flap and hook-and-loop fastener, plus two inside pockets, give plenty of room for tools and paperwork without the risk of anything falling out.
The double-layer construction using the two fabrics described is the core of the APC 1 - APC 2 protection concept, shielding the wearer from the heat and radiant energy of an arc flash event. The 50 mm reflective strips running around the body and sleeves add visibility in low light, useful in switchgear rooms or on job sites at dusk.
This makes the jacket well suited to electricians, electrical installers and service technicians who regularly work on or close to live equipment and need a jacket that combines protection, freedom of movement and practical storage.
