The BGWEKA52 hood is designed as a matching accessory for the multinorm weather-protection jacket BGWEJA52, aimed at anyone who wants to add extra head protection to their jacket when needed. Three press studs allow it to be attached quickly and removed again just as easily, while a drawstring lets it be adjusted to fit securely even in windy conditions.
The outer material is a blend of 79% cotton and 20% polyester with a small proportion of antistatic fibres, finished with an FC treatment. In practice this means a hard-wearing, comfortable fabric that resists static build-up, making it suitable for environments where that matters. The liner, made from 88% cotton and 12% polyester with a PU membrane, adds further comfort in changing weather conditions.
The hood is certified to IEC 61482, a standard covering protective clothing against the thermal hazards of an electric arc. This makes it a practical addition for anyone working in environments with this type of risk, such as electrical engineering or work on live installations, where consistent protection from head to toe is essential.
