The BGWEKA hood from the Mauser product line is a detachable accessory designed for functional workwear, ideal wherever head and neck need extra protection from wind and rain. It attaches to the matching jacket using three press studs and replaces the previous FLWEKA item, so anyone already working with that system gets a seamless swap.
The outer fabric is a blend of cotton and polyester with a small share of antistatic fibres plus an FC finish, giving a durable, comfortable surface that keeps its shape even under strain. Inside, a cotton and polyamide liner with a PU membrane keeps the hood water-repellent without feeling damp or stiff to wear. The drawcord can be adjusted individually, so the hood stays close to the head even in windy conditions instead of slipping out of place.
The hood is tested to EN 343, a standard for protective clothing against rain and moisture. In practical terms, this means the fabric and membrane keep water out while still allowing some moisture to escape, a real benefit for anyone working outdoors in poor weather. The orange colour also makes the hood clearly visible, an advantage on construction sites or road works where visibility supports safety.
