The teXXor® NEWCASTLE hi-vis safety vest is a certified high-visibility vest for anyone who needs to be clearly seen at work, whether on a construction site, near road traffic, or in any environment with moving vehicles. The bright orange colour catches the eye from a distance, complemented by two all-round reflective body stripes and reflective stripes over the shoulder straps that keep the wearer visible from multiple angles.
The outer fabric is 100% polyester in a lightweight knit, which makes the vest comfortable to wear over long shifts or on top of other workwear without adding bulk. The dark-coloured hem section is a practical touch: it helps hide dirt and marks in the areas that get the most wear, so the vest keeps looking presentable for longer. The front zip is covered, offering extra protection against wind and light contact with dirt.
The vest meets EN ISO 13688:2013 + A1:2021, which sets out general requirements for protective clothing, and EN ISO 20471:2013+A1:2016, the standard for high-visibility warning clothing. The latter ensures that the area and placement of both the fluorescent fabric and reflective stripes are sufficient to make the wearer recognisable early, even in poor light or from a distance. As PPE Category II, it is classified as protective equipment against medium-level risks.
This makes the NEWCASTLE suitable for a wide range of trades and sectors, including construction and road construction, waste disposal, vehicle and aircraft manufacturing, fire services, forestry, gardening and agriculture, skilled trades, machine building, transport, logistics and warehousing. With eleven sizes available from XXL to 3XL, it's easy to find the right fit for almost any build.
