The 087518 work trousers from Rofa's Trend line are built for anyone facing risks from heat, open flame or electrical hazards on the job. As PROBAN® multi-norm trousers, they combine several protective functions in a single garment, making them suitable for environments where different risks overlap, such as metalworking, welding, or work around electrical installations.
The fabric used, Gewebe 87, is a sturdy twill weave made from cotton with a polyester share and a small proportion of other fibres, weighing around 330 g/sqm. This results in a hard-wearing pair of trousers that still feels comfortable to wear, without becoming stiff or restrictive during long shifts. Importantly, the manufacturer states that the PROBAN® flame-retardant finish is maintained even after repeated washing, so the protective performance holds up over the garment's working life. The waistband comes with belt loops for a secure fit, and the various pockets can be used flexibly for tools and personal items.
When it comes to protection, these trousers cover several hazards at once: they guard against heat and flames, for example during welding work, as well as against the thermal effects of an electric arc flash. They also offer protection against small amounts of sprayed or splashed chemicals and provide electrostatic dissipative properties, an important safety feature in environments with combustible dusts or vapours.
This makes the trousers a strong fit for industrial professions such as welders, electricians, or workers in the chemical industry who need reliable protection against multiple hazard types at once. They are available in navy, cornflower blue and light grey, in 19 sizes ranging from 98 to 102.
