This pair of painter trousers from Blaklader is cut specifically for women and built for anyone who needs workwear that actually works with them: ergonomically shaped legs combined with stretch panels at the crotch, knees, hips and calves give freedom of movement without the trousers losing their shape. A specially designed leg pocket for filling knives and brushes, along with a range of other pockets, keeps tools and small items within reach instead of buried in a toolbox.
The fabric is 100% cotton in a twill weave at 240 g/m², which translates into a comfortable, absorbent feel on the job, especially useful when work gets sweaty. The areas that take the most punishment have been reinforced accordingly: the tool pocket, nail pockets, rear pockets and ruler pocket are strengthened with durable CORDURA®, while the knees get stretch CORDURA® for added flexibility. In practice, that means less wear exactly where kneeling, bending and carrying tools puts the most strain on the fabric.
The external knee pad pockets are more than just a practical feature, they're also certified: combined with the matching knee pads, the trousers meet EN 14404-3, the standard for knee protection during kneeling work, which matters if you spend a lot of time on the floor. The fabric is also Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances, which adds peace of mind when worn close to the skin.
