This multi-norm work trouser from Blaklader is cut specifically for women and built for anyone working in hazardous environments, from electricians to service technicians and skilled tradespeople. It combines several protective functions in one garment while stretch panels at the crotch and seat keep it flexible and comfortable throughout the working day.
The fabric is a blend of FR polyester, modacrylic and cotton with an antistatic fibre content, and it is inherently flame-resistant, meaning the protection is built into the fibres themselves rather than applied as a coating that washes out over time. At 315 g/m², the material is tough yet comfortable to wear, and its water- and dirt-repellent surface cuts down on everyday maintenance. Reinforcements in CORDURA®, Kevlar® and Protal® at the knees mean the trousers hold up well to kneeling work. They are approved for industrial laundering at 60°C and are entirely metal-free, making them suitable for use in ATEX-classified areas as well.
The trousers meet several protective standards at once: EN ISO 11612 provides protection against heat and flame, EN 1149 delivers antistatic protection for electrostatically sensitive tasks, and IEC 61482-2 guards against the thermal hazards of an electric arc. Certified to EN ISO 20471 Class 1, they also offer high visibility, reinforced by flame-resistant reflective tape with double stitching. EN 14404 confirms protection for kneeling work when paired with suitable knee pads, and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certifies that the material has been tested for harmful substances.
Practical features such as the reinforced ruler and knife pocket, the leg pocket with a phone compartment, and the external knee pad pockets make these trousers a solid choice for female electricians, service technicians and anyone in industrial settings who needs comprehensive protection without sacrificing freedom of movement.
