This winter vest from Blaklader is built for anyone working outdoors in cold, wet conditions while still needing freedom of movement – from tradespeople and gardeners to warehouse workers and drivers. As a sleeveless mid-layer it combines perfectly with a softshell jacket, hoodie or fleece jacket, making it easy to adapt to different temperatures and tasks throughout the day.
The outer fabric is a sturdy twill blend of 70% polyester and 30% cotton, weighing 230 g/m² and finished to be water repellent, so it keeps wind, rain and cold at bay. Inside, a soft, brushed fleece lining with quilted padding keeps you warm without adding bulk or stiffness. The extended back panel gives extra protection to the lower back, which is especially useful when bending or sitting for long periods.
Practical details are well thought out: side pockets and chest pockets with flaps, including one with a phone pocket and one with a pen pocket, provide plenty of storage, while a zippered inner pocket keeps valuables secure. A concealed ID card pocket is also built in, and the plastic zip closure stays easy to use even with cold hands.
