The Blaklader softshell winter jacket is designed for anyone working outdoors through autumn and winter, from tradespeople and gardeners to drivers and installers. Its detachable, adjustable hood and generous cut for freedom of movement make it a dependable choice for demanding workdays in cold, changeable conditions. The style is also available as the women's model 4751.
The three-layer softshell fabric, made from polyester with an elastane content, offers two-way stretch so the jacket moves with you rather than restricting you. At 265 g/m² it stays pleasantly light, while the quilted lining in the sleeves, air-mesh lining and light inner lining add warmth without adding bulk. Adjustable cuffs with hook-and-loop fastening, a drawcord hem and the extended back let you fine-tune the fit to the weather and the task at hand, and the front zip with a fleece chin guard adds comfort where the jacket meets your neck.
The fabric is waterproof to 11,000 mm and windproof, yet stays breathable thanks to its Ret value of 20.0, so moisture from inside can escape instead of building up. The jacket meets EN 342, the standard covering protection against cold when worn together with an additional layer (1820) – relevant for anyone spending long periods working outdoors in low temperatures. The fabric is also Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified. Dark reflective details on the shoulders and back help improve visibility during darker months.
