This rain jacket from Blaklader is designed for anyone working outdoors in wind and wet weather who needs kit they can actually rely on. It's aimed at tradespeople, drivers, and road and construction workers who need a rugged jacket that still moves with them: a detachable, helmet-compatible hood, adjustable cuffs with velcro fastening, and a soft fleece-lined collar mean it doesn't feel like a stiff protective shell during long shifts outside.
The outer fabric is 100% polyester with a PU coating, weighing 240 g/m². The seams are taped, which combined with the coating means water genuinely stays out, including at the seams themselves. Inside, a neoprene cuff helps retain body heat even when wet, and the adjustable waist with drawcord keeps the fit close no matter how you move. Since the jacket is unlined, it layers easily over other clothing without trapping excess heat.
The jacket is certified to EN 343, protective clothing against bad weather, which in practice means sustained wind and water resistance. It also meets EN ISO 20471 class 3, the highest class for high-visibility clothing, thanks to 50 mm and 65 mm wide reflective stripes that keep the wearer visible in poor light.
Combining weather protection with the top hi-vis class makes this jacket a strong fit for road and construction work, where visibility and rain protection matter equally. Practical pockets, including a removable ID pocket and a chest pocket inside the wind flap, also make it a solid choice for everyday work that moves between indoors and out.
