The PW3 Modaflame Knit FR T-shirt is a long-sleeve base layer built for anyone working in hazardous environments who still wants genuine comfort. The segmented panel design allows excellent freedom of movement, while the generous fit and ribbed knit cuffs add warmth and a comfortable feel throughout the day. That makes it just as suitable worn on its own as it is layered beneath additional protective clothing.
Made from lightweight modacrylic fabric, the shirt's inherent flame resistance is unaffected by washing. In practice, that means the protection is built into the fibre itself rather than applied as a coating, so it won't wear off over repeated washes, an important quality for workwear that sees daily use. The heat-resistant, flame-retardant reflective tape adds visibility on top of that, without compromising the protective performance.
The fabric guards against radiant, convective and contact heat, and is suitable for use in ATEX environments where explosive atmospheres may occur. As Category III PPE under CE certification, it meets the requirements for complex protective equipment against serious risks. The fabric is also rated 40+ UPF, blocking 98% of UV rays, a useful bonus for anyone spending time working outdoors.
