The Modaflame Knit FR long-sleeve T-shirt is built for anyone who needs a base layer that works as hard as the protective clothing worn over it. Part of the Modaflame Knit HVO collection, it is designed for workers in industries with fire and heat hazards, where the layer closest to the skin has to perform just as reliably as the outer garment.
The fabric combines a high cotton content with inherent flame resistance that, according to the manufacturer, is not affected by washing. In practice this means a comfortable, breathable feel without any compromise on long-term protection, since the flame-resistant properties are built into the fibre rather than applied as a coating that wears off. The flame-resistant knitted cuffs close off a potential weak point at the wrist, and strong colour fastness and low shrinkage keep the fit consistent wear after wear.
