The PW3 Hi-Vis Extreme is a rain jacket built for anyone who works outdoors in poor weather and needs to stay both visible and dry. It suits workers in road, rail and construction environments, as well as any trade that demands genuine weatherproof performance alongside high-visibility protection. Its modern, sporty cut sets it apart from the boxier hi-vis workwear of old.
The outer shell is a hardwearing 300D stretch Oxford fabric with a PU coating, welded seams and reinforced double stitching at stress points. In practice, that means a jacket that stays watertight through sustained rain without feeling stiff or heavy to wear. The PFAS-free Texpel Splash Eco finish keeps water beading off the surface rather than soaking in, while underarm zips can be opened during heavy exertion to let heat and moisture escape. Quick-drying knitted cuffs and hook-and-loop tabs at the sleeves keep the fit snug, and the detachable hood with storm flap chin guard adjusts to changing conditions.
The jacket is certified to EN ISO 20471, including after 25 washes, so its visibility performance holds up over time. Heat-resistant, flame-retardant reflective tape adds contrast in low light, the fabric carries a UPF 40+ rating that blocks 98% of UV rays, and the orange version also meets RIS-3279-TOM requirements for the rail industry. CE certification and UKCA marking round out the protective credentials.
With seven pockets, including a concealed phone pocket, an internal tablet sleeve, a removable ID card holder and a radio loop, this jacket is built for trades that carry a lot of kit, from track workers to groundworkers and site safety staff. The branding-ready construction also makes it a strong option for corporate workwear programmes. Available in Orange/Black and Yellow/Black, in sizes XS to 4XL.
