The Halmstad PU stretch bib trousers are built for anyone working outdoors in wind and rain who still needs freedom of movement. Unlike stiff rainwear, this bib is made from a stretch fabric that makes a real difference when bending, climbing ladders or moving around on site. Elastic, adjustable braces with buckles front and back, plus a waist that adjusts via a press stud, keep the trousers fitting well even over other clothing layers.
The outer material is PU coated onto a polyester backing, weighing around 190 g/m². This combination results in a tough yet relatively light fabric that feels less bulky than classic rainwear. The seams are welded rather than sewn, so there are no needle holes for moisture to seep through. A zip in the outer leg seam makes it easier to put on and take off, even over safety boots, while adjustable hook-and-loop tabs at the leg cuffs allow the fit to be adapted to different footwear.
The bib trousers are certified to EN 343 Class 4/1/X and EN ISO 13688. EN 343 covers protection against rain and water vapour resistance; the stated hydrostatic head of 8,000 mm indicates how much water pressure the fabric withstands before moisture gets through. EN ISO 13688 is the general standard for protective clothing, confirming that basic requirements for fit and workmanship are met.
