The Laholm bib trousers from Feldtmann are built for anyone working outdoors in rain and wind who still needs freedom of movement. The stretch fabric moves with the body instead of restricting it, turning these trousers into genuine all-day outdoor workwear rather than just an emergency rain cover.
The outer material is PU coating on a polyester backing weighing around 190 g/m², combined with welded rather than stitched seams. In practical terms, this means no water can get in at the seams, keeping the trousers reliably dry even in prolonged rain. Everyday details include a zip in the outer leg seam that makes it easier to get in and out even over safety boots, hook-and-loop tabs at the leg ends for adjusting the fit, and elastic, buckle-adjustable braces at the front and back for a personalised fit. The waist can also be adjusted for width using a press stud.
Rated EN 343 Class 4/1/X, the trousers are tested against both water penetration and water vapour resistance, while the 8,000 mm water column confirms the high level of waterproofing of the fabric. EN ISO 13688 sets out the general requirements for protective clothing, confirming that the trousers meet baseline safety and wearing-comfort standards.
