The Malick multinorm trousers are built for anyone facing several hazards on the job at once, such as welders working in industrial settings or staff exposed to electrical risks. Instead of switching between several specialist garments, this one pair of trousers covers multiple protection areas while still functioning as an ordinary, well-fitting work trouser with a part-elastic waistband for freedom of movement.
The outer fabric, a blend of cotton, polyester and a small proportion of carbon at 300 g/m², is deliberately sturdy: the weight gives the trousers structure and durability, while the carbon thread woven into the fabric helps dissipate static charge. The trousers can be washed up to 25 times at 60°C, making them practical for daily use on construction sites and in workshops. Two hip pockets, one back pocket and two thigh pockets with flaps and hook-and-loop closures keep tools and small items organised, and the reflective piping on the left thigh pocket improves visibility.
The trousers are certified to several standards tailored precisely to these working environments. EN ISO 11611 confirms protection for welding work, while EN ISO 11612 covers protection against heat and flame. EN 1149-5 provides for the dissipation of electrostatic charge, an important feature in potentially explosive atmospheres. EN 61482-2 verifies protection against the thermal hazards of an electric arc, and EN 13034 Type 6 adds protection against limited contact with liquid chemicals. This makes the Malick suitable for welders, electricians and workers in the metal and chemical industries who need reliable, multi-hazard protection in a single garment.
