These multi-norm bib overalls from Blaklader are designed for tradespeople facing more than one hazard on the job, including electricians, road and construction workers and service technicians who need protection against flames, arc flash and poor visibility in traffic, all in one garment. The flame-resistant property is inherent to the fibre itself, so it won't wash or wear out over time.
The fabric, a blend of modacrylic, FR viscose, polyester, cotton and aramid, is double-woven and weighs 310 g/m², giving it a rugged yet comfortable feel that doesn't restrict movement on site. The knees are reinforced with CORDURA®, Kevlar® and Protal® fabric, so kneeling on rough surfaces won't wear the trousers out quickly, and pockets subject to heavy use get an extra layer of reinforcement. A water- and dirt-repellent surface finish also keeps the garment easier to maintain throughout the working day.
When it comes to protection, these overalls cover a wide range of risks: EN ISO 11612 guards against heat and flames, EN ISO 11611 is the standard for welding work, EN 13034 PB[6] provides protection against certain chemical splashes, and the antistatic finish under EN 1149-5 helps dissipate static charge. The EN ISO 20471 class 2 rating ensures good visibility in traffic, and pairing the trousers with a matching jacket can raise that to class 3. Arc flash protection certified to IEC 61482-2 class 1 rounds out the package for electricians working near the risk of arc faults.
With smart pocket layouts, elastic braces and an adjustable waist, these overalls are built for long working days in construction, electrical installation and field service, without giving up comfort or practicality along the way.
