These Blaklader multi-norm work trousers are designed for anyone facing several hazards on the job at once, including electricians, road and construction workers, and tradespeople dealing with heat, sparks, chemicals or poor visibility on site. The regular fit allows freedom of movement, while practical pocket features such as a ruler pocket with knife holder, phone pocket and hidden rear pockets with metal buttons keep tools within easy reach.
The outer fabric, a cotton and polyester blend with an antistatic component, is woven in a twill weave and treated to be flame-retardant, resulting in a sturdy yet wearable 350 g/m² fabric. The surface repels oil, dirt and water, and darker fabric panels placed at high-wear areas help the trousers keep their appearance through repeated use. The knee pad pockets are reinforced with CORDURA®/Kevlar®/Protal™ and offer two padding positions, and the trousers are rated for industrial laundering under EN ISO 15797, making them suited to tough daily wear.
The certifications cover a wide range of risks: EN ISO 11612 protects against heat and flame, EN 1149-5 dissipates electrostatic charge, EN 13034 offers limited protection against chemical splashes, and EN ISO 20471 provides high-visibility protection in daylight and darkness. EN ISO 11611 additionally qualifies the trousers for welding work, while IEC 61482-2 protects against the thermal hazards of an electric arc; the reflective stripes are flame-retardant and reinforced with double stitching.
This makes the trousers particularly suited to workplaces where several hazards overlap, such as road construction with traffic exposure, electrical work, or welding and maintenance tasks in industrial settings.
