The Blaklader Multinorm Inherent work trousers are built for tradespeople, electricians, road and construction workers, and service technicians who need several types of protection in a single garment. They combine flame resistance, hi-vis visibility and antistatic properties while still fitting and moving like everyday workwear.
The fabric, a blend of modacrylic, cotton, FR polyamide and aramid, is inherently flame-resistant, meaning the protective properties are built into the fibres themselves and won't wash or wear out over time. The 260 g/m² ripstop weave gives the trousers excellent tear strength without adding unnecessary weight. CORDURA®/Kevlar®/Protal®-reinforced knee pockets protect the most exposed area, and pockets prone to heavy wear are double-reinforced to extend their working life, which matters on sites where kneeling and constant tool use are part of the job. The trousers are metal-free and tested and approved for 50 wash cycles, including industrial laundering to EN ISO 15797.
On the protection side, the trousers cover several risks at once: EN ISO 11612 confirms protection against heat and flame, EN 1149-5 covers the antistatic, electrostatic dissipative properties, and EN 61482-2 addresses protection against the thermal effects of an electric arc, backed by an ATPV rating of 11 cal/cm² and an ELIM of 10 cal/cm². Under EN ISO 20471 the trousers achieve Class 1 on their own, rising to Class 3 when paired with a matching top, with flame-resistant reflective stripes and double stitching keeping wearers visible in low-light conditions on roads and construction sites.
With a rule pocket featuring a knife holder, three-part tool pockets and knee pad pockets, these trousers are designed around real trade work, making them a solid choice for anyone on a construction site, in electrical work or on road-building projects who needs protection from fire, arc flash and poor visibility all in one garment.
