These inherently flame-retardant multi-norm trousers from Blaklader are built for maintenance work with elevated safety demands, making them a strong fit for electricians, service technicians and tradespeople working on or near live equipment. They combine high-visibility protection, flame resistance, anti-static properties and arc protection in a single garment, so there's no need to layer separate safety pieces.
The fabric blends Modacrylic, cotton, FR polyamide and aramid fibres with an anti-static component, woven as a durable ripstop material at 260 g/m². In practice that means a trouser that stays comfortable to wear despite its protective build, with stretch panels at the crotch and seat that keep movement easy, and a water- and dirt-repellent outer surface that keeps you working cleanly through demanding shifts. The external kneepad pockets are reinforced with CORDURA®/Kevlar®/Protal®, standing up to kneeling work on rough surfaces, and the whole construction is metal-free.
The certifications cover a wide range of hazards: EN ISO 20471 Class 2 ensures visibility on roads and worksites, EN ISO 11612 protects against heat and flame, EN 1149-5 dissipates static electricity, and IEC 61482-2 testing covers arc flash exposure, with an ELIM rating of 9.2 cal/cm² for the stretch material. Combined with kneepads 4027 and 4057, the trousers also meet EN 14404. The flame-retardant reflective stripes with double stitching stay put under strain, and a removable ID pocket designed specifically for flame-retardant clothing is included as well.
