The ROFA NOMEX® jacket 827 is designed for anyone whose job involves exposure to flames, heat or electric arc flash, without having to compromise on comfort. It belongs to the multi-norm workwear category, combining several protective functions in one garment while staying light and easy to move in.
The outer fabric is a twill weave made from 98% aramid with a small share of other fibres, weighing around 265 g/sqm. The lining is built the same way, slightly lighter at around 220 g/sqm. Aramid is naturally tough and dimensionally stable, and here it comes in the soft Nomex®Comfort quality, so the jacket feels pleasant against the skin despite its protective role. Bellow pleats at the back and an adjustable cuff closure keep the fit comfortable even during physical work. The front panel and sleeves are made double-layered, adding extra protection exactly where the body is most exposed.
At its core, the jacket protects against flames, heat and electric arc flash, the kind of thermal risk found in demanding industrial settings. On top of that, the fabric is electrostatically dissipative, reducing the risk of spark discharge caused by static build-up. This combination makes it a dependable choice wherever heat sources, open flames or electrical installations are part of daily work, such as in electrical engineering, plant construction or industrial environments with comparable hazards.
