This hood is the matching accessory for the RESIST Hybrid Softshell jacket, turning it into a full weather-protection system for the head within moments. It is sold separately as an optional add-on and can be attached or removed quickly thanks to a clever docking mechanism, so it is only there when you actually need it.
The inside of the hood is brushed, which feels soft and comfortable against the neck rather than cold or scratchy. The peak is reinforced with an inlaid special material made of thermally bonded polyester filaments, staying flexible yet firm enough in strong wind that it will not flap down and block your view. This mesh material also holds up to frequent washing at higher temperatures without losing its shape. A two-way adjustment at the front and back allows the hood to be fitted continuously to the head, and it packs down so light and small that it fits easily into the jacket's cargo inner pocket.
Attachment works through hidden press studs at the back of the collar and split velcro fasteners at the front that tuck away into dedicated pockets on the collar. This mechanism sits flat, does not bulk up the collar, and keeps it soft and comfortable to wear even without the hood attached. The hood comes in sizes S, L, 2XL, 4XL and 6XL, each covering two jacket sizes, so there is a matching option for every RESIST Hybrid Softshell jacket.
