This maternity extension panel from Blåkläder is designed for expectant mothers who don't want to give up their high-vis workwear during pregnancy. Made specifically to fit the Blåkläder 4472 women's high-vis winter parka, it creates the extra room a growing bump needs so the jacket can keep being worn right through the pregnancy.
The panel is made from a coated, stretch twill fabric in 100% polyester that moves with the body instead of restricting it. The coating makes the material waterproof up to 11,000 mm and windproof, while a Ret value of 6.3 keeps it breathable, so heat doesn't build up even when worn for longer stretches. At 150 g/m² with a warm lining, it adds warmth without adding bulk, and taped seams keep moisture reliably on the outside.
As part of the high-vis setup, the panel comes in high-vis yellow or high-vis orange and features 50 mm wide reflective tape for better visibility in low light. The fabric is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified, meaning it has been tested against recognised textile safety standards.
That makes this extension a practical choice for pregnant workers in road construction, logistics or on building sites who rely on visible workwear and want to keep wearing their 4472 jacket throughout their pregnancy.
