The Blaklader Gecko safety shoe is a metal-free S3 model built for anyone working outdoors on construction sites, in transport, maintenance or machine operation who needs reliable protection without sacrificing comfort. Thanks to its wide fit and anatomically shaped insole, it also suits feet that struggle to find room in narrower footwear. The Gecko range is designed as a unisex line, with dedicated women's lasts available in sizes 35 to 39.
The upper is made from durable microfibre and reinforced all around with KPU, letting the shoe cope with knocks and abrasion in rough working conditions. The nitrile rubber outsole adds long-term durability and is both heat-resistant and oil-repellent, which matters on building sites and in workshops alike. Inside, a soft PU insole with a textile surface manages moisture and keeps the foot comfortable, while the polyester lining supports breathability throughout the day.
On the protection side, the Gecko meets EN ISO 20345:2011 in the S3 SRC HRO ESD specification. The composite toe cap guards against impact and compression without adding any metal, and the textile penetration protection resists 3 mm nails in line with EN ISO 22568-4. SRC indicates slip resistance on ceramic and steel test floors, HRO stands for heat-resistant outsole material, and the ESD rating means electrostatic charge is safely dissipated, which is essential in sensitive working environments.
This makes the Gecko a strong fit for outdoor work in construction, transport, maintenance, repair and machine operation, wherever a robust, metal-free safety shoe with a wide fit and dependable penetration protection is needed.
