The Blaklader GECKO safety shoe is built for tradespeople working in construction, installation, electrical work or maintenance who need dependable footwear for a full day on the job. The wide fit gives your feet room to move, and the Freelock closure makes putting the shoes on and taking them off noticeably easier than with traditional lacing. It comes in sizes 35 to 48, with the smaller sizes 35 to 39 built on women's lasts.
The upper is made from a tough woven material with an added KPU surface protection that holds up well in rough working conditions. The nitrile rubber outsole is highly durable, heat-resistant and oil-repellent, which in practice means secure footing even on demanding surfaces. The anatomically shaped insole, made from soft PU with a textile surface, absorbs moisture effectively and keeps the shoe comfortable through long shifts. The polyester lining further helps maintain a dry feel inside the shoe.
The shoe meets EN ISO 20345:2011 in safety class S3, which covers a protective toe cap, penetration-resistant construction and water-repellent properties. The composite toe cap guards against impact and compression without adding unnecessary weight. Notably, the textile penetration protection meets the demanding EN 22568-4 requirements tested with 3 mm nails, so it keeps protecting reliably even when sharp objects are underfoot. The shoe is also ESD tested, safely dissipating static electricity, which makes it suitable for work around sensitive electronics or in environments where static discharge is a concern.
This makes the GECKO a solid choice for electricians, roofers, installers, sheet metal workers, mechanics, service technicians and oil and gas industry staff who rely on rugged yet comfortable footwear every day.
