The 4PROTECT® UV-protective COLUMBIA T-shirt is designed for anyone who spends long hours working outdoors and needs reliable protection from strong sun exposure. Whether on construction sites, in road building, forestry, gardening and agriculture, or in skilled trades, this shirt is built for environments where UV exposure is a genuine concern, without looking like typical workwear.
The outer fabric combines recycled polyester with TENCEL™ lyocell fibres sourced from certified or controlled wood sources. In everyday wear, this translates into a soft, smooth handle and a naturally dry feel on the skin — a noticeable benefit during physical work and changing temperatures compared to fabrics made purely from synthetic fibres. Ribbed cuffs in 100% polyester add a secure, well-fitting finish at the sleeves.
Tested to EN 13758-2, the shirt achieves a UPF rating of 50+, meaning only a very small fraction of ultraviolet radiation passes through the fabric. In practical terms, this provides dependable textile UV protection throughout the working day outdoors. The base standard EN ISO 13688:2013 + A1:2021 further ensures general ergonomic and safety requirements for protective clothing, and the shirt is classified under PPE Category I.
