The FP80 is a self-retracting fall arrest lanyard designed for anyone working at height who needs a flexible line that moves with them rather than a fixed-length lanyard. The 2-metre webbing automatically extends and retracts as the user moves, tensioning itself when needed, which makes working in changing positions considerably easier. A karabiner hook and a swivel hook with double safety locking keep the line securely attached and prevent unwanted twisting.
The webbing is made from ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene, a material known for high tensile strength combined with relatively low weight. In practice, this means gear that is tough enough for daily site use without being bulky to carry. An inspection cover protects the product label from abrasion and weather exposure, keeping the essential inspection and origin details legible throughout the product's working life.
The built-in shock absorber reduces the forces transmitted to the body in the event of a fall, while the fall indicator gives a clear visual sign if the lanyard has already arrested a fall and needs replacing.
