The teXXor® SMMS disposable coverall Type 5/6 is a protective suit designed for work involving high dust exposure as well as light liquid splashes or spray mist. It suits anyone carrying out renovation, refurbishment, painting or cleaning work who needs dependable single-use protection without sacrificing comfort. Elasticated cuffs, ankles and waist plus a thumb loop keep the coverall securely in place even during movement, so it won't ride up or shift during the job.
The fabric is a 4-layer SMMS nonwoven made from 100% polypropylene weighing around 60 g/m², with an additional flame-retardant treatment. This construction keeps the suit relatively light and breathable, which makes a noticeable difference during longer shifts or physically demanding tasks compared with heavier materials. Bound seams on the outside, a 3-piece hood with elastic and a 3-piece crotch panel give the coverall a considered fit, while the zip with its protective flap and adhesive strip adds extra protection against penetration at the front opening.
As Category III PPE, the coverall meets several relevant standards: EN 13982-1 confirms protection against solid particles such as dust, EN 13034 covers protection against limited splashes of liquid chemicals and spray mist, and EN 14126 addresses protection against infective agents. EN 1073-2 confirms its suitability as protective clothing against radioactive particulate contamination, while EN 1149-5 relates to the antistatic treatment that helps reduce electrostatic charge build-up. EN ISO 13688 is the general base standard for protective clothing.
This makes the coverall well suited to construction and road-building sites, public authorities and organisations, and waste management operations – wherever dust, splashes or spray mist are part of the daily routine.
